  I used AMD's Variable Graphics Memory to hand a cheap mini-PC's integrated graphics 72 GB of system RAM as 'VRAM,' then ran a 120-billion-parameter model on it — a poor man's Mac for frontier-sized open models. It works. It also runs at reading speed, because the number that governs local LLMs isn't VRAM size, it's memory bandwidth.
